Last visit to the beach before quarentine

So I've been wanting to go to the beach for a while and now that summer is here...I'll be having a baby and won't be able to deal with the sand and the sun...so our last day before the baby was to come...I decided...I'm going to the beach!!! We had the perfect day...it was a bit cloudy but the sun broke through and I have to admit that I said a little thankful prayer because it felt like it was a perfect day made just for me. The kids LOVE the beach and they had a ball digging in the sand and running away from the waves. Speaking of waves...we went to a small...short shore part of the beach and the waves kicked us out eventually as the tide came all the way to the rocks!!! I was SOO glad to get a beach day in before we're stuck at home for a while....but if anyone wants to brave the beach with MY kids....they'd love to go!!!!

For Posterity's sake!

Del Mar Fair

One sure fire way to go into labor (or at least I thought) walk around the fair for hours. Unfortunately, my shoes were all too tight--due to fat feet--so my only option was flip flops...I was dying by the end of the day. Cole was brave and fed the goats...Alli decided that she didn't want slobber on her hands.

They loved this car ride...it whipped them around...one kid couldn't hack it and they had to stop it to get him off.

This right here is what makes the fair so fun for us as parents...look at that look of sheer joy on their faces!

Look how darling these kiddies look. Apparently pregnant women aren't allowed on the carousel...I guess I could fly off?

We love the food there too! We never fail to get funnel cake....My mother-in-law liked hers so much, she decided to powder her nose with it :)
Watching our kids live it up in the little kid rides zone was worth it! They had SO much fun together and they were such buddies!
And as always...a tradition is to get photos taken together in the photo booth...it sure is getting crowded in there!

Party number 2!

Happy 30th Dan!!!...well, he didn't think it was so happy as it approached...so I decided to rub it in a bit and throw him a surprise funeral party for the passing of his twenties :) I was crazy to try and pull it off only days before delivering but I couldn't let him down and had to celebrate big for this huge milestone! Brittany helped come up with the party theme and invitations.

I had Rubios to go which was the greatest idea ever...no working in the kitchen and wondering if the food was alright! We had a great turn out--especially for it being pulled together so last minute. Dan was a bit confused at first...but the whole night turned out perfect! My favorite part was the eulogy given by his best friend Matt and memories shared by all. We gathered around and everyone mentioned something about Dan-- an experience they had together or just something they love about him. After that night I thought,"now we can have this baby!!"
Everyone came dressed in black and surrounded this big picture of Dan in his twenties while waiting for him to arrive.

The black umbrellas gave a nice touch...probably one thing that confused Dan...the weather was great! The idea was for him to walk out into the backyard and everyone to just have a moment in silence before turning around to yell surprise. One person didn't get the memo so it ended up being a one person "surpriiise" and Dan was like wahhh?
I love my sweetheart and we love having friends over and eating! It was a perfect night! Thanks Brit for all your help!!

First Things First

So before the baby post...I HAVE to get these few events documented...so here's a quick recap of our June....and maybe this will show why I haven't been blogging...I was too busy cramming in parties before the arrival of our baby!!
Party number 1! Father's Day!!
We were able to have a delicious, lovely Father's Day Roast and I had both my dad and father-in-law able to attend!! It was great to get everyone together and eat well!!

Introducing Jeffrey Douglas Moller

I'm so sad I haven't met my little nephew in person yet :( With nearing the end of my pregnancy, and now having TWO kids to worry about leaving behind-- traveling to see my sister after delivering her baby just didn't happen. Not to mention, she got induced 3 weeks early instead of a week do to some growth complications the baby was having. Man...that would be like me having my baby this week! Crazy....and she doesn't hesitate to inform me how easy recovery is with popping out a 5 pound baby....and not worrying about 3 extra weeks of weight gain (that would definitely help with fitting into a bridesmaid dress sooner!) BUT...the early delivery didn't come with such ease, baby Jeffrey had to stay in the hospital for 5 days to get his oxygen levels in check. We have a family reunion at the end of July...and I have a feeling my baby and Jeffrey will be about the same size (seeing how I have 8 pounders typically) They are only about 7 weeks apart but I think this little guys might look like our baby's twin at the baby blessings! Just look at this smile. It makes my heart ache not to hold that little baby...but soon. (He's already a month old!)

Sick...or sweet?

Ok, so Cole has been sick for like a week and the kid has had a runny faucet snot nose for at least 5 days. Yesterday Dan discovered two hardened nasty boogers stuck to the neck of my shirt. Yum. No they were not mine. It's just one of the pleasures of having children, they leave you goodies on your clothes. Anyway, so I'm sitting on the tile floor by the photo album cupboard reminiscing while reading my blog books (best b-day present ever from Dan) and Cole comes up to me....this is what he said...
Cole: "Mommy isss yummy!"
Me: "What's yummy" (thinking...did he get into some treats?)
Cole: "My snotties. Isss yummy in my mouf."
SICK!!!!!
