Our Thanksgiving Weekend
We were glad to leave the house for a few days and go to San Diego for the Weekend. We spent Thanksgiving Day at my parents' house and spent the night.

This is my cute nephew, Cameron.

We didn't get a very good night sleep so we were looking forward to a night without the kids for our 6th Anniversary on Friday. I got to get a much needed pedicure at the place I grew up going to in Rancho Bernardo---way worth the drive to RB over spending money on a crap massage on the pedicures in Temecula- the lady in RB massaged my leg three separate times. It was great. We then went to Escondido to visit my friend Adrea who I haven't seen in years. Her kids were so grown up and just adoreable. It was SOO good to see her after such a long time.

We spent the rest of the day spending money on the sales at Circuit City and then I helped out at this Holiday Boutique my mom put on for the fire victims. It was so amazing. I was overwhelmed when I walked in the door to see tables and tables spilling over with beautiful donated holiday items. You could feel the spirit strongly knowing that so many were willing to give.

Afterwards, we took the kids to Dan's mom's house for a sleepover. Dan and I ate at Ruth's Chris Steak House----sooooo good, but man, Turkey and stuffing on Thursday and Steak on Friday was quite the load. Anyway, we enjoyed the spa at the hotel and settled in for a movie in our room--Die hard 4. How romantic. No--really, Dan and I love to watch movies together and I figured that watching an action movie was the only thing that would keep me awake after a trip to the spa so I fell asleep to it while Dan enjoyed it. :)

The next morning, we went back to his mom's for some delicious Ebleskeevers --sp?? for breakfast, and then I headed off to the Holiday boutique again.
We stayed the night at Dan's mom's and then drove off to Vista for a baby blessing. After that, we came back to Carmel Valley to get ready for good 'ole family pictures with the Dobrons. We were a little scared as Allison hadn't had a nap in 4 days...and it showed. Allison had a pretty good meltdown before we left, about getting dressed. Thank goodness she got over that quick and we had one of the most peaceful family picture days. Everyone was very patient and smiled great.

That night we went back to his mom's again for some football watching (Dan got really into it as you can see) and we had dinner and the best chocolate malts EVER and headed home.

We're free!

Sorry I'm behind on my posts. But we've finally been released from being homebound with sickness! Thanks to Zicam for shortening my cold to a day and a half...oh, and Airborn...you helped too. Anyway, we were finally able to leave the house last week and we took a trip to the Harveston duck pond which Allison LOVES. We didn't have any bread that was old and moldy but Allison wouldn't eat the Sara Lee bread I bought since we ran out of our freezer stock of Grandma Sycamore bread. (Thank you Shannon for lugging my 10 loaves back this week!)So we used the good Sara Lee bread to give to the ducks. Pathetic I know. Anyway, it's good to be out again.
Eat your way out of this one

Sick kids
It's been a hard few days. We've been under quarantine at our house---both kids got a yucky cough and in order to protect the general public fom getting it--we have been hibernating in the house. I think I possible might go completely crazy. Not to mention, I started feeling a little under the weather today myself. Great. We'll come out when it's safe.

Tagged again!
This one is a little different...
Four Places I've lived:
San Diego,CA
Highland, UT
Lehi, UT
Temecula, CA
Four Jobs I've had:
Barons Marketplace
BYU Maintenance
BYU Creamery
Legal assistant at Mangum & Assoc. Family Law Firm
4 Things I'd like to do before before I die
Go on a hot air balloon ride
Take a helicopter ride near maybe the Hawaiian Islands
Die my hair dark brown
Visit Brazil where Dan served his mission
4 Favorite Desserts
Chocolate Cake with ganache from Macaroni Grill
Three layer pudding pie
Apple crumb pia a la mode
Creme Brulee
Four Interesting facts about me
*I am a list maker and I like to cross things off when they're done. Sometimes if I did something partaining to the list that I forgot to write down, I write it down and cross it off.
*I went to BYU thinking I would graduate and then marry around age 24 and that those girls who got married at 18 didn't know what they were doing. I got married at 19 and had to take a year off before I went back to graduate.
*Dan always knows when I've passed gas even when it's silent, not because of the smell (not always anyway), it's because my gas I swear is made of the chemicals in laughing gas so when I let it out, it is immediately followed by uncontrollable giggling before anyone would have a clue.
*I thought I'd be really good at being a mother and that I would in a way "conquer" the feat easily. I was wrong-way wrong. It's way harder than I thought and it's a work in progress.
4 Favorite TV Shows
*Prison Break
*LOST
*House
*Heroes

7 Weird/Random things
So Lauren tagged me and it took me a week to think of 7 things but here goes...
1. I am extremely particular with my food. I like my eggs over easy but they have to be cooked just right....runny in the middle but not too runny. I won't eat them unless it is on top of a lightly buttered piece of toast so when I bite into it, the yolk oozes onto my plate and I can scoop it up with the other parts of the egg and toast when I've eaten all the yolk.
2. I also don't like warmed jam on toast-I prefer it cold.
3. I hate the word pheasant and I lived on a street with that name in Utah and when we were buying here, we saw that street name 2 streets away from our current street and I was like--I'm not buying a house on that street!!
4. When I go to bed I shift and move for at least 30 seconds trying to find the perfect spot. Dan gets in bed and is completely still and falls asleep while I keep bouncing around in bed trying to get comfortable.
5. I can't stand it when the light is red and someone is in the right lane going straight when it is also a right turn lane and I can't turn right. I hate that.
6. Dan used to accuse all bad drivers of being Asian and I would yell at him everytime that he was being racist. So I typed out a chart for the car where I marked male or female, Caucasian, African American, Asian, and Hispanic (and other) and then I tallied who it was that made a bad driving maneuver. Facts don't lie. I don't accuse Dan of being racist anymore.
7. I had NO friends in 7th grade and would sit at the lunch bench all by myself and mope that I was a loner...which I was. But now I have lots of friends and that makes me happy.
I know--totally lame. I might be editing one or two when I discover I really am not so boring after all.
I tag.....Kacy, Chelsea, Michelle,Jen Taylor, Brittany, and Cristina, and Jody

Happy Halloween!
It's crazy to think that last year Allison was so little and hardly had any hair as little tinkerbell and this year she's such a big girl and she has a new little tag-a-long. She was going to be Snow White until, of course, last minute, she decided to be "Barbie." It's pretty much a pink princess dress that has a little barbie pendant on it. Hey it works.....maybe next year when she can be consistent in her decisions, she can tell me what she wants to be and I'll actually make her costume like my mom always did. Or then again, maybe I'll continue buying costumes after Halloween real cheap for next year :)

Here's our pumpkin....too bad Holly wasn't around --they could have been twins!

Here's Allison in good hands---I guess Allison is a little animal so it was good to have two veterinarians around just in case.

Could Drew be any cuter?? He was a little pilot and that cool jacket was a gift from his poppa.

There is one house that scared Allison just a little too much and she left it runnin!

Cole was entertained watching the kids run around in the dark all night. He was a trooper!

And of course, the cousins Halloween picture for 2007. Happy Halloween!
